Music Therapy at Be Balanced
Music therapy is one of the expressive therapies in which music (both live and reproduced) or musical elements are used for therapeutic purposes. In children and people with health disadvantages, it is very successful as a supportive developmental method with rehabilitation elements. It is also very effective as an element of psychotherapy where it is better to grasp the topic non-verbally. Music therapy is also used in the field of healthcare, e.g. as a supporting element during convalescence.
At Be Balanced we offer the possibility of individual music therapy or music therapy in a closed group. For parents with children there are programs with elements of music therapy (Swings and songs, Music games, Together we play music). In addition, there are also experiential seminars and workshops with a thematic focus and music therapy overlap.
How does music therapy work?
The framework is similar to other therapies in the form of regular sessions, which, depending on the assignment, last from 30 to 50 minutes. It is based on the needs of the client; The session takes place in a pleasant space in the presence of a music therapist who has musical instruments or music recordings at her disposal.Together with the client, they create a musical-experiential meeting that has a therapeutic effect.
The number of sessions depends on the client’s needs or mutual agreement.
